that really is a great question. when I wrote this I was 16 and in tenth grade. happy by Pharrell Williams and wiggle by Jason Derulo and fancy by iggy azalea were topping the billboards. frozen was winning the Oscar for best animated feature. the great Gatsby was in. flower crowns and soft grunge were all the rage. MCR’s breakup was still a fresh wound for emos everywhere. obama was president. tumblr still had porn. the onceler fandom still had stragglers. I was cosplaying vriska. and nobody gave a shit about my humble observation on the ubiquity of spongebob fandom.
